Costs Of Covid Cases Are On The Rise

Even though we are only 4% of the world's population, the United States has one of the largest cases of Covid 19 cases ever, with more than 6 million cases as of August 30, 2020 and over 184,000 deaths. Since colleges have opened up, now the virus has showed up. While the spread of the virus continues, more and more people are:

Overall, reimbursements from the federal government to all 50 states has amounted to $851,000,000, of which $267,000,000 was for testing and $584,000,000 was for treatment. Texas and and New Jersey received the most reimbursements, according to the New York Times. 

Yet, the Kaiser Foundation estimates that hospital costs for the uninsured could exceed a staggering $13.9 Billion to over $48 Billion dollars, much more than has been reimbursed by the Federal Government.
