Booster Shots

The CDC recommended and the FDA authorized last week that Americans with weakened immune systems who received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine should get a booster dose. These individuals are less than 3% of Americans who didn't respond to the standard dose, according to the NYTIMES.

Countries are looking to what Israel does and who is giving "booster shots" to people over 60 and will soon offer them to people over 50.

Influential scientists say "booster shots" are not needed and unethical lacking real evidence that demonstrates the effectiveness of the vaccines against disease and hospitalization.

There is a lot of confusion about boosters because the data hasn't appeared in published journals and the companies who are promoting it, are the same companies who will make millions of dollars if boosters are administered.
